I have always had a love for dogs. I can thank my mom and dad for that! For as long as I can remember, I have had a pet dog.
At a young age I recognized that dogs have different personalities and that I could adjust my teaching techniques to meet the needs of these different personalities. The result was amazing. My pups would quickly learn what I wanted them to do or not do and they really enjoyed the learning process. I had no idea as a young girl how this would be so influential throughout my whole life.
I never imagined that I could turn my passion for dogs into a career. After several years of jobs that just never felt right, I decided to make a major change. At the age of 38 I went to Brenda’s Dog Grooming Academy and finally discovered what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Every day I get up and can’t believe that I get to work with dogs and that this is also my career.
My goal is and always will be to make the grooming experience as enjoyable as possible for your pet. It is so satisfying when I get a dog that has “grooming issues” and by the end of the session I am able to do whatever I want with the dog. I have had many clients ask “How do you do it?” The answer is simple…it’s all about trust. If you can get a dog to trust you, you will have a friend for life.
